“Color Fields”

I began thinking of the flight of birds many years ago. As a young boy, many hours were spent lying on my back in the cool grass watching the clouds move and the birds cross overhead. Those skies overhead caused a never ending love of color and movement. As an artist I have the ability to paint and move colors that evoke moods and feelings. With color, moods follow and imagination flows. This series of Color Field paintings is a contemporary take on a typically traditional subject matter. Living in Park City has created a passion for light and color and a need to express the natural beauty each day brings. These paintings are expressions or rather interruptions of natural experiences of nature. As a viewer of the paintings I hope that you get lost in your dreams through a calming of the beauty of bird in flight and the seductive nature of the “Color Fields.”
